In times of war, the most endangered species was man. Under the Nazis' noses, about 300 people, mainly Jews, found shelter at the Warsaw Zoo during the Second World War. The amazing story about how the Zabinski family helped rescue Jews from the Warsaw Ghetto.
The feature film "The Zookeepers Wife" was based on this story.
